(กรุงเทพฯ – 2 มิถุนายน 2564) กองทุนฮอนด้าเคียงข้างไทย ภายใต้มูลนิธิฮอนด้าประเทศไทย ร่วมกับกลุ่มบริษัทฮอนด้าในประเทศไทย เดินหน้าส่งมอบความช่วยเหลือครั้งใหม่เพื่อเคียงข้างคนไทย ในสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดของเชื้อโควิด-19 ที่เพิ่มขึ้นและขยายเป็นวงกว้างในปัจจุบัน โดยเร่งผลิตนวัตกรรมหน้ากากแรงดันลบและแรงดันบวกเพิ่มเติมอีกจำนวน 1,100 ชิ้น รวมมูลค่ากว่า 42 ล้านบาท ซึ่งพัฒนาและผลิตขึ้นโดยทีมวิศวกรจิตอาสาของฮอนด้า เพื่อเป็นเกราะป้องกันการติดเชื้อโควิด-19 ให้แก่บุคลากรทางการแพทย์ รวมทั้งช่วยป้องกันผู้ป่วยในการแพร่กระจายเชื้อ โดยเริ่มผลิตแล้ว ณ โรงงานผลิตรถยนต์ฮอนด้า จ.อยุธยา และจะทยอยส่งมอบให้กับกระทรวงสาธารณสุขและโรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี เพื่อกระจายไปยังโรงพยาบาลรัฐต่างๆ ทั่วประเทศ รวมถึงกรมราชทัณฑ์ ในช่วงกลางเดือนมิถุนายน 2564
นายพิทักษ์ พฤทธิสาริกร กรรมการผู้จัดการกองทุนฮอนด้าเคียงข้างไทย กล่าวว่า “ในวันนี้ คนไทยต้องเผชิญกับการแพร่ระบาดของโควิด-19 ที่ทวีความรุนแรงขึ้นอีกครั้ง กองทุนฮอนด้าฯ จึงได้เร่งผลิตนวัตกรรมหน้ากากแรงดันลบและบวกเพิ่มเติมอีกจำนวน 1,100 ชิ้น หลังจากในเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ 2564 ที่ผ่านมา ได้ผลิตและกระจายการส่งมอบให้แก่โรงพยาบาลใน 77 จังหวัดทั่วประเทศไปแล้วทั้งหมด 1,000 ชิ้น เพื่อเป็นเกราะป้องกันและลดความเสี่ยงในการติดเชื้อให้กับบุคลากรทางการแพทย์ รวมถึงสามารถนำมาใช้กับผู้ป่วยเพื่อป้องกันไม่ให้เชื้อแพร่กระจาย สำหรับครั้งนี้ เราจะทยอยส่งมอบได้ในช่วงกลางเดือนมิถุนายน ให้กับกระทรวงสาธารณสุขและโรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี เพื่อเร่งจัดสรรให้กับโรงพยาบาลรัฐทั่วประเทศ รวมถึงมอบให้กับกรมราชทัณฑ์ ในนามตัวแทนของกองทุนฮอนด้าฯ ขอเป็นกำลังใจให้บุคลากรทางการแพทย์ ผู้ป่วย รวมถึงคนไทยทุกคน ผ่านพ้นสถานการณ์ที่ยากลำบากนี้ไปด้วยกันได้ในเร็ววัน”
ด้าน พ.ญ. ณัฏฐาพร หะรังศรี วิสัญญีแพทย์ โรงพยาบาลระนอง กล่าวถึงประสบการณ์การใช้นวัตกรรมหน้ากากแรงดันบวกและแรงดันลบของกองทุนฮอนด้าฯ ในการรักษาผู้ป่วยติดเชื้อโควิด-19 ว่า “จุดเด่นของนวัตกรรมหน้ากากแรงดันลบและแรงดันบวก คือเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของอุปกรณ์ป้องกันภัยส่วนบุคคลทางการแพทย์ ซึ่งสามารถปรับใช้งานได้ 2 รูปแบบ คือ แรงดันลบ ใช้ในการเคลื่อนย้ายผู้ติดเชื้อโควิด-19 และแรงดันบวก ใช้เพื่อป้องกันและช่วยให้บุคลากรทางการแพทย์หายใจสะดวก หน้ากากมีน้ำหนักเบา ใส่สบายไม่แนบหน้าเกินไป ที่สำคัญคือสามารถปรับระดับลมได้ ซึ่งช่วยให้อากาศถ่ายเทและช่วยลดการเกิดฝ้าบนหน้ากากขณะอากาศร้อน จึงทำให้สามารถให้การดูแลรักษาผู้ป่วยได้นานและมีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้น โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในการผ่าตัดหรือการใส่ท่อช่วยหายใจ ผู้ป่วยมีโอกาสที่จะไอ ทำให้เชื้อที่อยู่ในระบบทางเดินหายใจกระจายเยอะขึ้น ซึ่งขณะนี้อุปกรณ์ป้องกันภัยส่วนบุคคลทางการแพทย์ยังเป็นที่ต้องการอย่างมาก”
สำหรับนวัตกรรมหน้ากากแรงดันลบและแรงดันบวกซึ่งผลิตขึ้นโดยทีมวิศวกรฮอนด้า ผ่านการทดสอบมาตรฐานของอุปกรณ์ทางการแพทย์ จากกรมวิทยาศาสตร์บริการ กระทรวงการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรม ประกอบด้วยตัวหน้ากาก ท่ออากาศ และเครื่องกรองอากาศ สามารถปรับการทำงานเป็นหน้ากากแรงดันบวกสำหรับบุคลากรทางการแพทย์เพื่อป้องกันการติดเชื้อ และหน้ากากแรงดันลบสำหรับผู้ป่วยติดเชื้อเพื่อป้องกันการแพร่กระจายเชื้อ โดยสามารถนำกลับมาหมุนเวียนใช้ใหม่ได้ ซึ่งก่อนหน้านี้ ทางกองทุนฮอนด้าฯ ได้กระจายการส่งมอบจำนวน 1,000 ชิ้น ไปยังโรงพยาบาล 77 จังหวัดทั่วประเทศ
และได้เร่งผลิตเพิ่มเติมอีกจำนวน 1,100 ชิ้น รวมการผลิตทั้งหมด 2,100 ชิ้น เพื่อรองรับความต้องการอุปกรณ์ทางการแพทย์ที่เพิ่มขึ้นจากการระบาดของเชื้อโควิด-19 โดยครั้งนี้จะมอบให้แก่กระทรวงสาธารณสุขและโรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี เพื่อกระจายไปยังโรงพยาบาลรัฐทั่วประเทศ อาทิ โรงพยาบาลศิริราช โรงพยาบาลจุฬาลงกรณ์ สภากาชาดไทย โรงพยาบาลมหาราชนครเชียงใหม่ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ รวมถึงกรมราชทัณฑ์นับตั้งแต่ปี 2563 ที่สังคมไทยได้เผชิญกับสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดของเชื้อไวรัสโควิด-19 จนถึงปัจจุบันกองทุนฮอนด้าฯ ได้ร่วมต้านภัยโควิด-19 รวมงบประมาณกว่า 122 ล้านบาท ซึ่งมาจากเงินสมทบจากการซื้อรถจักรยานยนต์ รถยนต์ และเครื่องยนต์อเนกประสงค์ของลูกค้าทุกท่าน เราพร้อมที่จะให้ความช่วยเหลือสังคมไทยเพื่อที่จะก้าวพ้นสถานการณ์ที่ยากลำบากนี้ไปด้วยกันอีกครั้งหนึ่ง

Honda Khiang Khang Thai Fund Donates Another 1,100 Units of Negative and Positive Pressure Smart Face Shields in the Fight Against the New Outbreak of COVID-19
(Bangkok – 2 June 2021) The Honda Khiang Khang Thai Fund (HKKT), under the Honda Thailand Foundation, together with the Honda Group of Companies in Thailand, continues to offer support for Thais during the current outbreak of COVID-19 that is progressively spreading to a wider area by accelerating the production of another 1,100 units of its Negative and Positive Pressure Smart Face Shield worth over 42 million baht. Developed and produced by a volunteer team of Honda engineers, the smart face shield is specially designed to protect medical personnel from COVID-19 infection and prevent the spread of the disease from patients. Production of the smart face shield is underway at Honda’s car manufacturing plant in Ayutthaya to be delivered to the Ministry of Public Health and Ramathibodi Hospital for further distribution to public hospitals nationwide, as well as to the Department of Corrections, in the middle of June 2021.
Mr. Pitak Pruittisarikorn, Managing Director of the HKKT Fund, said, “Today, Thai people are once again facing a more severe outbreak of COVID-19 that is spreading widely. The HKKT Fund decided to accelerate
the production of another 1,100 units of the Negative and Positive Pressure Smart Face Shield in addition to the previous 1,000 units already produced and distributed to 77 hospitals nationwide in February. On behalf of the HKKT Fund, we would like to support medical and healthcare workers, patients, and Thai people to overcome the adversity together very soon.”
Dr. Natthaporn Harangsri, an anesthetist at Ranong Hospital, shared her experience using the HKKT Fund’s Negative and Positive Pressure Smart Face Shield when treating patients infected with COVID-19. “The smart face shield fits comfortably and is lightweight for easy breathing. Most importantly, the adjustable air pressure level helps boost ventilation to prevent the smart face shield from fogging up when wearing it during hot weather, allowing the wearer to treat patients longer and more efficiently, especially during operations or endotracheal intubation, when patients tend to cough, which may lead to a wider spread of infection in the respiratory tract. The current demand for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is growing significantly.” The Negative and Positive Pressure Smart Face Shield has passed standard testing for medical devices from the Department of Science Services, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation. It consists of a mask, air duct, and air filter adjusted to function as a positive pressure mask for healthcare workers to prevent infection and a negative pressure mask for infected patients to prevent disease transmission. The HKKT Fund is distributing a total of 2,100 units to support the growing demand for medical devices due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This time, the smart face shields produced will be donated to the Ministry of Public Health and Ramathibodi Hospital, which will then further distribute them to public hospitals nationwide including Siriraj Hospital, Chulalongkorn Hospital, The Thai Red Cross Society, the Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University, and other hospitals, as well as to the Department of Corrections.Thai society has faced the COVID-19 pandemic since early 2020. The HKKT Fund has joined forces to fight COVID-19 with an allocated budget worth a combined total of over 122 million baht, which comes from contributions made when every Honda customer purchases a motorcycle, car, or power product. The HKKT Fund remains ready to stay side-by-side with and assist Thai society to overcome the difficult COVID-19 situation.
